Not too long ago, I came across Cara’s blog, Masckara. She has some amazing makeup tutorials…you’ll have to hop over to take a peak. Anyways, I saw that she recently launched her own makeup line. More specifically a foundation that gives you a highlighter and contour in one package. Pretty nifty if you ask me. Anyways, because I like supporting fellow bloggers with their start-ups and endeavors, I decided to give her products a try. I bought her HAC Pack which consisted of the Foundation, Cream Blush and Illuminator. I bought the Foundation in Light and the blush in Princess Peach.
So here’s my two cents. I’ve never used anything remotely HAC. So learning was fun. I think this product goes on smoothly and doesn’t take a whole lot to work. I think I will purchase just the medium Foundation (as soon as it’s back in stock) so that I can have a bit darker of a Contour color. It may end up being too dark for my face, but I’d like to try it out regardless of the outcome. It may come down to me mixing to get the shade I want. I love the highlighter. It covers my redness really well and doesn’t leave me looking like a china doll.
I love the cream blush. I’ve never used a cream blush before and I think it’s the perfect amount of color. Don’t let the name Princess Peach fool you. It definitely has pink tones. It’s just not in your face pink.
Overall, I really like the products. I will say that if you haven’t exfoliated in awhile, you’ll notice that it doesn’t look right. Just take a cotton ball, soak it in lemon juice and pour sugar on it and use on your face as a scrub…make sure you already have clean skin (a tip I learned from Cara recently on her blog…so I do not take credit for that little beauty tip). ๐

I love that the final look isn’t something overwhelming. I’m not a fan of heavy makeup. I’ll have to give this a try.

I am terrible at applying makeup. I barely leave home without it, but my technique…leaves a few things to be desired. :0

That looks like so much fun to play with! It’s too bad I’m on a spending ban ๐ It’s a great concept too; I love that it’s one product that’s basically foundation with contour & highlighting built in, seems so much simpler than using three products vs this one. It’s funny (more coincidental) because at BBC, I ended up talking to to Tiffany and she mentioned Maskcara’s line! ๐ It’s a pretty inspiring event, a blogger’s dream turned reality. Maybe I’m just feeling overly good about this new year. Anyways, great video! I enjoyed it and now I’m jealous that you have something fun to play with! I’ll be keeping an eye out for more videos!
