1. What are you reading right now? Tell us about it.
The Undiscovered Goddess by Michelle Colston

My Review…so far so good. This girl cracks me up. Reminds me of Jen Lancaster.
2. Out of the 16 books that will be turned into a movie adaptation, which one are you most looking forward to seeing this year? (Article Link)
I want to see This Is Where I Leave You with Jason Bateman. He just makes me laugh. I haven’t read the book but it just sounds like a great movie. I’ve read Gone Girl and loved the book (except hated the ending). But it’s not one that I will see in the theaters. And Serena looks intriguing…especially because Mr. Bradley Cooper is in it. 😉
3. What was the worst book you’ve ever read?
It’s a toss up between I Don’t Know How She Does It by Allison Pearson (also turned into a movie with SJP) and The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.
4. What foods or beverages have you spilled on a book while reading? Anything good?
I don’t think I’ve ever spilled anything on a book. Well at least I don’t recall ever doing that.
5. Do you pictures characters as popular film or tv actors? Or do you create a whole new person in your head?
I honestly don’t even know what the characters look like when I’m reading. Even after the author describes them. They stay sort of silhouetted in my head as I move through the books.
6. Out of all the authors you’ve read books by, who’s brain would you want to pick the most?
Probably Mary Kay Andrews, Jennifer Crusie or Sue Grafton. I love each of their writing styles and their stories.

My Review: 4 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this murder mystery. The characters were fun. It had a hunky new Chief of Police. The 2 main female leads (best friends of course) got into their share of adventurous troubles. There was plenty of comedy too. The only downfall to the book was there was a lot of catchy sayings/cliches in the book. And I felt like those cliches were coming off as trying too hard. If you can get past them, it’s a fun read.

Apparently they are changing the ending of Gone Girl for the movie, and it’s actually Gillian Flynn who suggested it, so maybe you will like it!
You have to read the Tropper book before you see the movie, Taylor – it was great! And I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who doesn’t picture characters in my head. Your description of silhouettes is perfect – that’s how I see them too.
You’re right- I Don’t Know How She Does It was awful!
I loved the Poisonwood Bible! I hated each and every single character in it, but I loved the story.
I am going to have to join y’all next month. The book looks great!!
I saw that article on buzzfeed about the books being made into movies. I haven’t read any of the books on the list but now I want to. I hate seein’ a movie before I read the book.
Jason Bateman makes me happy when I see him on a screen. I haven’t read the book yet but I’m sure the movie will inspire me to do so. I’m also looking forward to Serena which another I haven’t read. I read Gone Girl but I don’t about Ben Affleck, I’m not a fan of his. I’m glad they changed the ending of it either way. TFIOS is going to be fantastic might be the only movie I pay to see this year if I don’t get a screener.

Wow! Poisonwood Bible as worst. I haven’t read it personally but it is on the list. I’m interested as to why you disliked it so much. I know it recieved a lot of hype for a long time, but I don’t really read the hype – were there lots of people who didn’t like it? Thanks so much for hosting.
