A few months ago I made some adorable Monogram ring dishes and was thinking recently about what else I could use to make cute ring dishes. I decided that I was going to put my gold spray paint to use and make some golden animal ring dishes. These are great gifts and I had a fun time thinking about which animal each of my friends would enjoy. They are super simple to make, most of the time is waiting for things to dry.
Golden Animal Ring Dishes
SHOP FOR SUPPLIES
Materials:
- Plastic Animals
- White Bowls – Round or Square
- Gold Spray Paint
- E6000 Glue
Directions:
- Pick out the perfect animals, spray paint them gold. It will take a couple coats to get all the nooks and crannies of the animals.
- Use a little dab of E6000 Glue on the feet of the plastic animals and position them in the bowls
- Let dry and they are done!
See??? It really is easy! Once the animals are spray painted, you can’t tell that they are simply plastic toys and they fit in perfectly with the ceramic bowls.
I did find that I liked the taller animals better because they would peek out over the bowl. The giraffe is my absolute favorite, it looks like it is sitting there waiting to watch over your rings.
Even though the hippo doesn’t peek out over the sides of the bowl I also love that one, it looks so happy!
I’m definitely going to be making a few more of these for Christmas gifts! Do you have some friends who would love their own little golden animal ring dish? Which animal would you want?
