Celebrating Friendsday Night: Bourbon Peach & Apricot Smash

My friends love (and benefit) from my cocktail creations too. Because a new cocktail means they become my taste testers. A new tradition over in my house is for us to have regular Friendsday Night celebrations. With my latest and greatest cocktail recipe anchoring the evening.

This latest cocktail is no different. And it’s going to be the perfect addition to your own Friendsday Night celebrations. IZZE® Sparkling Peach and apricots blended together with bourbon, mint and ginger make a scrumptious flavor profile. This drink pairs nicely with anything you throw out on the grill!


Ingredients (Makes 1 Drink)
For the Simple Syrup (makes 2-3 servings)
½ cup Sugar
½ cup Water
1 Stem of Mint (leaves and stem)
¼ teaspoon Ground Ginger

For the Cocktail (Serves 1)
1 Apricot, diced with skin on
4-5 Mint Leaves
1 oz. Simple Syrup
1 ½ oz. Bourbon
Crushed Ice
1 bottle of IZZE® Sparkling Peach

Directions
For the Simple Syrup
Combine the sugar, water, mint and ginger in a small saucepan. Bring the temperature up to medium and stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves. After the sugar dissolves, reduce heat to low and let the mixture steep to combine the flavor of the mint and ginger. Strain and set aside in the fridge to cool down. (Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks in a sealed container)

For the Cocktail:
In a highball glass, add the diced apricot, simple syrup and mint leaves. Muddle together to combine. Add in the bourbon and then fill the glass with crushed ice. Top off with IZZE® Sparkling Peach and stir well to pull the syrup mixture up to the top.

Garnish with mint or extra pieces of apricot.
