I’ve been married for almost 8 years. Looking back at the whole wedding/registry process, I wish I would’ve asked for advice on what kitchen must haves I needed. I had no clue back then! Like seriously…lol. I will say that the one thing that I was smart on was my dishes. I didn’t register for china because I knew I would eventually end up with my mom’s dishes. Smart move. My mom had a ton of different kinds of dishes!! Anyways…I thought I would list off the must-haves for the kitchen. One of these items is still on my list of things to get because of so many people telling me I need to get one stat (the juicer)! The rest of the items…I own and use ALL the time!
Food Processor…yes, yes and yes!
Blender…a great investment…pick up a Blendtec or a Vitamix. I love my Vitamix!
Juicer..on my want list!
Microwave Cover…save yourself from cleaning up messes in the microwave!
Wine Bottle Opener…an electronic one!
Can Opener…don’t waste your money on the electric versions…old school all the way!
Mixer…another investment! Get yourself a KitchenAid Mixer. Trust me.
Mandolin…Love my mandolin!
Microplane…great for quick zesting!
Mesh Strainers…so many uses!!
Griddle…easy for pancakes!!!
Cast Iron Skillet…a MUST HAVE for sure!
Crock Pot…cannot go wrong with one of these!
Knives…another important investment! A good set of knives!
Knife Sharpner…and don’t forget the sharpener!
Kitchen Scissors…mine are used nearly every day when I’m home!
Waffle Maker…because they are just cool!
Silicone Baking Mats…these are amazing!
Dutch Oven….between my Cast Iron Skillet and my Dutch Oven…I am set! My most used items!
Apron…save your clothes and wear an apron in the kitchen!
Digital In-Oven Thermometer…cook meats perfectly with a thermometer!! I use mine on the grill too!
Timer…you can’t have too many timers in your kitchen!
Wooden Cutting Board…I love my Bamboo cutting boards!!
Pots and Pans…important to invest in a good set of pots and pans. I have some Rachael Ray non-stick and some Emeril Stainless and I use them both for different reasons.
What’s on your Must Have Kitchen List? What do you wish you had that you don’t have?

Great post! I had no idea what I need when I got married 6 1/2 years ago. We have most of this stuff, but only because I purchased it myself. I would die for a Kitchen Aid Mixer!
