These Winter Skin-Care Tips are sponsored by Target. All opinions are 100% my own.
During the winter months, my skin goes into this weird depression. It flip-flops between having too much moisture and not enough. One reason is due to the Texas weather. Case in point: Today was nearly 70 degrees outside. Yesterday, we barely hit 45 degrees. Can you see how this can be a problem?? My skin is so confused this time of year!!
I made a trip to Target recently to speak to my Beauty Concierge about this very issue. My main concern during the winter months is when my skin can’t keep up with moisture. My Beauty Concierge, Brooke, helped me out, and I stocked up on some goodies to help me combat the dryness. So let’s get to talking about what I picked up.
ONE: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Facial Moisturizer (1.7 ounce)
The first product Brooke recommended for me was this new Neutrogena moisturizer.. I’m a huge Neutrogena fan, and I’m already loving this product! I use it to give my face an added boost overnight.
TWO: Yes To Coconuts Cooling Lip Oil (0.3 ounce)
One of my other big problem areas is dry, chapped lips. Brooke recommended this Cooling Lip Oil, and it’s truly amazing. I put it on at night and again in the morning before I hit the shower. I can definitely already see a boost in the moisture of my lips!
THREE: Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer, Coconut Oil (10 ounce)
During the winter months, I feel like I’m slathering on the lotion as soon as I get out of the shower because hot water can actually deplete the moisture in your skin. This Wet Skin Moisturizer is really a cool product, as you apply it as soon as you finish your bath/shower and then pat yourself dry. Then you get to skip the lotion lathering!
FOUR: target=”_blank”>Calgon Ageless Bath Nourishing Milk Bath for Softer Skin (26 ounce)
One specific request I had was figuring out how I can enjoy my bath time in the winter without ruining the moisture in my skin. I love a good soak when the temperatures drop, but it’s such a bad thing for your skin. Brooke recommended this Milk Bath product from Calgon for my winter soaks. Can’t wait to try it out!
FIVE: Peace Rose Oil Complex Sensitive Skin Mud Mask (6 ounce)
I try to give myself a facial at least once a week, so that was something else I wanted to get a recommendation on from my Beauty Concierge. Brooke mentioned she is loving this mud mask and that it was good for calming the skin down. My skin isn’t overly sensitive, but I do notice an increase in sensitivity in the winter months. I’ve already tried it out, and it receives an A+ in my book.
SIX: Eucerin Intensive Repair Extra-Enriched Hand Creme (2.7 ounce)
Last but definitely not least is a good hand cream. My hands become manly in the wintertime. They look all weathered and beat up. It’s really not that attractive. 😉 I feel like I’m applying lotion all the time to try to keep them hydrated. Brooke recommended this Intensive Repair hand lotion from Eucerin, and she suggested I put it on at night.
I asked Brooke what her top tips are for winter skin care, and here is how she answered:
1. Stay hydrated. Even though it’s cold outside, our bodies still need lots of water. So don’t skimp on drinking water!
2. Moisturize. Your hands, body, face…keep it moisturized. The bitter winds and cold temps cause our skin to take lots of beatings. Help your skin out by using moisturizers.
3. Don’t forget the sunscreen. Sunscreen is just as important in the wintertime as it is in the summertime. The harmful rays don’t have seasons. 😉
4. Exfoliate regularly. Help your skin slough off the yucky stuff with regular exfoliations.
Those are really great winter skin-care tips!!! Thanks, Brooke!

I love this list! I am so bad with skin care (I get lazy!) but during WInter I ALWAYS make an extra effort because it dries up so quickly! I especially love Eucerin because I use the Intensive Repair moisturizer because I use the body lotion! I definitely want to try the Neutrogena Hydroboost! That looks like something I would love!
