Hey girl! Can you believe spring-time is just around the corner?! We’ve been experiencing some spring time weather as of late and I can just feel BBQ season creeping in. And I can’t wait. Y’all know how much I love creating moonshine recipes…well, I’m back with another one. This Strawberry Salty Dog Moonshine recipe is going to be a big hit at your backyard get-togethers with your friends. Or heck, just make a batch for yourself. No judging. 😉 LOL Don’t forget I’ve got more moonshine recipes for you!
Strawberry Salty Dog Moonshine Ingredients
**Makes 1 cocktail**
2/3 cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
2/3 cup fresh strawberry juice (see recipe below)
1/3 cup moonshine (I like JJ’s Midnight Moon)
Pink Himalayan Salt (not feeling fancy…go for kosher salt)
Crushed Ice
Strawberry for garnish
Directions
Rim the edge of a low ball glass with salt. Fill the glass with crushed ice, taking care to keep the salted rim in tact. In a cocktail shaker with some ice, pour in the juices and moonshine. Shake shake shake. Pour into the glass and garnish with a strawberry.
HOW TO MAKE FRESH STRAWBERRY JUICE
Ingredients:
2 cups ripe strawberries (about 18-20)
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 cups cold water
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Strain juice through a mesh strainer.
