Hey! Hey! Welcome to the SIXTH Literary Junkies Link PAR-TAY!! Lesley (By the Porchlight) and I are so excited for this link party to be here again!! Yay!!
So, if you are new to this PAR-TAY, here are the questions that you need to answer in a blog post and link up with us!! π
What are you currently reading? Tell us about it!
I am currently reading “Ketchup is a Vegetable and Other Lies Moms Tell Themselves” by Robin O’Bryant. Y’all this is a must read if you want to laugh your tush off! Seriously!!

Robin is a blogger/author/humor columnist who writes about her family stories. I’m not a mom and I’ve laughed out loud, like seriously busted out laughing, more times than I can count. Go get you a copy of this book!!
And conveniently tonight on Twitter (4/16) at 8pm CST, Robin is going to be chatting online with the Literary Junkies and all are invited to chat!! Follow along with the hashtag #LiteraryJunkies to see our chat! π Are you an aspiring author?? What better way to pick someone’s brain who has 2 books under her belt!! π
Okay, now it’s time to learn about each others Reading Habits!!
Answer the following questions either with a simple answer or with lots of details! Up to you! π
Amazon or brick and mortar?
I like both!! I like shopping on Amazon (I have Prime Membership) when I can’t find something in a store or if I’m just too lazy to go find a bookstore. And un-conveniently for me at the moment, the Hastings is shutting it’s doors in the town that I spend M-F in…boo for that. So it looks like Amazon will be my new best friend for awhile! π
Locally owned bookshop or big name chain store?
I’m always about supporting Locally Owned. And I’d rather shop at a Used Book Store than a new book store any day. But again, as of now, I don’t have many options where I am during the week.
Bookmark or dog-ear?
Bookmark…although when I was a kid I was a dog-ear person π LOL
Alphabetize by author or alphabetize by title or random?
I am a Alphabetize by Author kind of gal. π
Keep, throw away, or sell?
Keep the books that I love, love, love…or who are by my favorite authors. Never throw away. Sell those that don’t fall into the first category.
Keep dust jacket or toss it?
Keep the dust jacket
Read with dust jacket or remove it?
Typically remove it half-way through the book…it just gets in my way. π
Short story or novel?
If it’s by one of my favorite authors, I will read a short story. But if it’s not, I am a novel girl all the way. I cannot do the short story.
Collection (short stories by same author) or anthology (short stories by different authors)?
Neither. I just can’t do the short story thing. I think I’ve got 2 books sitting on my TBR pile/book case that are short stories and I just haven’t finished them.
Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?
Typically I’ll stop reading when I’m tired, but I always get to the end of a chapter no matter what! π It’s too hard to pick back up in the middle after I’ve slept.. π LOL
βIt was a dark and stormy nightβ or βOnce upon a timeβ?
Ohhh…I’ll take both but only as long as the dark and stormy night isn’t too scary!! π
Buy or borrow?
Prefer to borrow but will buy if it’s cheap!
New or used?
Prefer used because I read too fast and don’t want to spend money on new all the time. Very rarely do I buy a brand new book…only my favorite authors (after I’ve already read everything else they’ve ever written!) π
Buying choice: book reviews, recommendation or browse?
I’ll buy based on someone’s recommendation and by browsing for fun covers. π
Tidy ending or cliffhanger?
I like tidy endings but I do like a good cliffhanger. Even if it means waiting awhile before the next book. I’ll re-read the previous book prior to the new one coming out if it’s a series (and if it’s been awhile since I read anything in the series).
Morning, afternoon or nighttime reading?
I’ll read whenever I get the chance!!
Single volume or series?
Both!!
Favorite series?
It’s a toss up…Diana Gabaldon “Outlander Series” or Sue Grafton “Alphabet Murder Mystery Series”

Favorite book of which nobody else has heard?
Oh…maybe another series that I absolutely fell in love with by C. A. Belmond “The Penny Nichols” Series

So those are my answers! Now time to read your answers!!
What is your favorite book series??
So excited to be able to participate this time around and I loved the group e-mail! I did buy a copy of Robin O’Bryant’s book, but I haven’t gotten all the way through it. I’m hoping that tomorrow I can still tweet along. My post will be up at 8 am EST but I’ve linked up since I’m pretty sure few folks are up and checking blogs until right around then. Thanks for the opportunity ladies! π
love this idea.
will be linking up later today! π

Woohoo! Fun times being bookworms π
