Can we just talk about summer bucket lists?? Do you write one each season? I’ve tried but I’ve never managed to cross much off of it. My real world life is one that stays really boring in the sense of bucket lists. LOL I love trying new foods and listening to bands play but living in a small town, away from the “happening” stuff, makes doing those things challenging. Especially when your husband prefers movie nights to exploring new cities/towns. Or prefers to work on his cars to trying new foods. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE movie nights and helping him on his car projects (my truck project is finally coming up soon!). But sometimes I crave some bucket list-crossing off. So that’s when I enlist my girlfriends to help make some of those things happen.
One thing I want to try and cross of my list for this summer is to possibly join a women’s club. As an “solo” entrepreneur, I crave interaction with my fellow female entrepreneurs. I currently work in an industry (during the day) that is overloaded with men. It’s always been that way. And probably will always be that way. So, I don’t get a chance to mingle with ladies that often. So, one way to fix that is to join a women’s group.
Have y’all ever looked into joining a women’s group? Junior League? Junior Women’s Club? Church Group? The one I’m looking into is the Junior Women’s Club of Fort Worth. What I like about it is that there are a ton of different sub-groups within the organization based on your interests. They’ve got groups related to wellness, physical fitness, culinary arts, dining, excursions and more. I’m really kind of excited to explore the various groups! So I’ve added it to my summer bucket list: Join a Women’s Group and become active!
Today’s outfit is all about styling a white striped shirt. This look is such a casual look, yet still incredibly put together. And I have to now tell you a funny story about the day I had the photoshoot for this outfit. Did you notice me laughing in the first few photos? A gentleman had just driven by mumbling the most crazy things at me and my photographer. Like actually “speaking” to us but neither one of us understood a single thing he was saying. It was like words put together in most random-ness ways. They were definitely in English but not strung together in understandable sentences. After he drove off, I just busted out laughing. My photographer was kind enough to capture it and then ask me “what the heck was that?!” It was awesome!

I think a women’s group sounds wonderful. I have been a member of a local moms group for the past 2 1/2 years and it literally has saved my sanity! I say go for it!

This is a cute outfit, love the raw hem on your jeans and the ankle boots! My photographer and I get that all the time when people stop by and look at us funny. 🙂 I’m hosting my first ever Wednesday Linkup and hope you can stop by!

Your blog is adorable; you are adorable! I’m quite sure that I saw that top in Target the other day. After about 6 months of no real clothe hunting, I was rewarded at Target with tons of items on sale/clearance. It felt so good! Anyway, these pics make me wish I lived in a small town with sidewalks. Or maybe it’s just too much Gilmore Girls lately. I’ve never joined a women’s group outside of church, so I’m interested to hear how this goes for you. Glad I found your blog. 🙂

I don’t belong to an organized woman’s club but joined a running group over 10 years ago and most of ladies we all still run together. They have become some of my closes friends. Love your outfit!
