Glitter is always the answer when it comes to craft projects. I love the shimmer, sparkle and youthfulness that glitter adds to any sort of project. These glittered wine glasses are so fun and would be perfect for a party or even just to have on hand for a random Tuesday. This project takes a little bit of time; but is rather simple to complete.
How To Glitter Wine Glasses:
Materials:
- Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge
- Foam Brush
- Ultra-Fine Glitter
- Painters Tape
- Wine Glasses (I got mine at the Dollar Store)
First, tape off the wine glasses at the edge where you would like the glitter to stop. Next, use a foam brush to cover the the wine stem in the mod podge. Give it a nice even coat (but not too thin so that the glitter has something to stick onto). Sprinkle the glitter onto the wet mod podge. Shake off the excess onto a paper plate (you can funnel it back into the glitter container).
Sometimes it takes a couple coats of mod podge and glitter to get everything coated entirely. Once the coats are complete. Give one final coat of mod podge to seal all the glitter.
I’m hosting a party in a couple weeks which is a Kate Spade theme, all of my decor is going to be black & white stripes with gold sparkly accents so I’m thinking that everybody might need to get their own gold glittered wine glass for the party. They could easily be personalized by adding each guest’s name onto the cup (in gold metallic vinyl of course).
There are so many awesome ways to use these glittered wine glasses, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, or just because. How would you enjoy these glasses?

What a fun idea! My husband would be worried about glitter getting all over the dishwasher and the other dishes. How does it hold up with use?

So much fun! I’d love to do this, but I think that my husband would kill me if I tried to get so much sparkly color in our home! Haha! 🙂 Lisa
