How-to Glitter Feathers

Last month, I shared some fun Glittered Wine Glasses with all of you. I still love them and think that they are so much fun for parties or girl’s night out. Today I’m sharing another fun and sparkly craft – dipped glitter feathers.

Dipped feathers seem to be all the rage right now, and why not add a bit more sparkle to them with some glitter!

The materials and process for these feathers are similar to the wine glasses.

Materials:

• Mod Podge
• Foam Brush
• Ultra-Fine Glitter
• Large Feathers

Since there is no defined edge on these dipped feathers, I recommend trying your best to only need one coat of glitter.

Use the foam brush to put an even coat on the tip of the feather then sprinkle extra fine glitter onto the Mod Podge. Unless you have a method of keeping the feather upright while it dries, I recommend only doing one side at a time. Cover the Mod Podge in the glitter, shaking off the excess back into the container.

Once the first coat of glitter is dry, do spot checks of where you need a second coat.

Finish off the feathers with a final coat of the Mod Podge.

These feathers are some great home decor and can be used in a multitude of ways. They would be perfect to add into a floral arrangement for a little bit of sparkle or string multiple together to create a banner across your mantle or wall.
