Ohh, y’all…this entire look is making my creative soul rejoice!! The boho waves thanks to the TRESemmé Perfectly (un)Done hair care system and this DIY Boho Flower Crown plus my boho-esque kimono. ohhhh LOVE LOVE LOVE it all! So, today I’m going to share both my hair tips AND my fun (and easy!) DIY Boho Flower Crown. If you are a festival-going girl or you just enjoy channeling your inner boho spirit, this entire look is for you.
I started out my boho-look by using the TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Collection…
1. Weightless Silicone-Free Shampoo & Conditioner
Create the perfect base with this lightweight silicone-free formula that nourishes hair but never weighs it down.
2. Wave Creation Sea Foam
This ultra-light Sea Foam helps create soft, natural-looking waves.
After blow-drying my hair with a round brush, I put a curling iron through it. If you’ve noticed, my hair is stick straight, so I need some help getting to a fun boho-inspired look.
3. Ultra-Brushable Hairspray
This hairspray provides ultra-fine control that lasts and is easily brushable without flaking, stiffness or stickiness while providing your waves protection from frizz.
I finished off my look to hold it together with this hairspray that really didn’t feel like hairspray. That’s a plus in my book!
Let’s take a peek at how to make this super easy DIY Boho Flower Crown!
What you’ll need:
Jute Rope/Twine
Scissors
Faux Flowers of your choice
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
What you’ll do:
Step 1: Cut 3 pieces of the jute, all in equal lengths. Make it about 1.5 times larger than the circumference of your head.
Step 2: Tie a knot in the end.
Step 3: Anchor the knotted end under something heavy so that you can get ready to braid the 3 pieces together.
Step 4: Loosely braid the jute together.
Step 5: Tie a knot at the end of your braid.
Step 6: Place the braid around your head to figure out where it needs to be glued together.
Step 7: Once you’ve got your circle made and you know where to glue it to make it fit your head, glue the overlapping pieces together. Don’t worry about your knots, you will cut them off once it’s all glued together.
Step 8: Cut off the knotted ends and finish gluing anything not glued together.
Step 9: Take your flowers and insert where you want them within the braid. Add a dab of hot glue to hold them flowers in place.
Step 10: Once you’ve added all the flowers that you want to, let it completely dry and then wear it!
The TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Collection celebrates 3 different types of waves: Boho, Beachy and Hollywood. Click here and take the wave quiz to find out what kind of wave girl you are!
