This past Saturday, a few fellow DFW Bloggers got together for some Bowling at Lucky Strike and food at the Brownstone. Fun was had by all! ๐ I enjoyed meeting up with some of my favorite bloggers and meeting some new favorites! Ladies, if you are reading…I had a blast hanging with each of you!! Let’s do it again soon!!
Bowling: Highly recommend Lucky Strike. Like seriously! But make sure you get reservations to ensure you can party! They have food and drinks. And waiters/waitresses for each group to make sure you always have a drink.
Food: We had a little room reserved at the Brownstone. This used to be Casey Thompson’s restaurant (from Top Chef), but she’s moved on to bigger things. The food was good, although mine came out 20 minutes after everyone else’s and it was luke warm. They gave some lame excuses. The manager came out and asked if I wanted anything else, but I said no. I ate the food anyway cause I was starving and it tasted good, even luke warm. Then about 10 minutes after he left a waitress came in with my food. So what I think happened was my plate got “lost” so they refired a new one, found my first one, delivered it to me and then when the 2nd one was finished it was sent out. Thankfully I got to take it home and my meal comped.
Nicole didn’t have luck with her $28 steak. Kroger sells better meat. ๐ So we don’t recommend the Brownstone Ribeye (a supposed favorite). First it came out over-cooked. And then the 2nd one was worse…you shouldn’t need to saw with a knife to cut through a good steak. But all in all, I think the rest of the group enjoyed their food. The Spinach, Artichoke and Bacon Dip was yummy and so was the Red Pepper Hummus!
Now for picture overload!!
