This time of year, it’s all about the fun holiday parties. My Instagram feed is already full of some of my friends attending fancy holiday soirees! I’m only a tiny bit jealous that they are getting to dress up and party. 😉 This year, my hubs and I will be attending my stepsister’s holiday party. It’s kind of swanky, so I knew I wanted to get some holiday makeup tips from my local Target Beauty Concierge, Sadie. I had her help me create two holiday beauty looks.
The first look was a Muted Berry Ombre look in plum and the second look was a Metallic Glam-Sparkle look in green. I have no idea which one I’ll choose, but now I have two different looks to choose from! Now it’s all down to the dress!
Muted Berry Ombre Look in Plum
For this look, the Target Beauty Concierge suggested the new L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2 in the three shades to the far right, the new L’Oreal Voluminous SuperStar Liquid Eyeliner, the new Voluminous Superstar Mascara and a L’Oreal Color Riche Lipcolor.
She recommended following the guide on the back of the L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2 for the placement of the three shades to achieve that plum ombre eye look. To finish off the look, she wanted a nude lip that paired well with the berry tones of the eyes.
Metallic Glam-Sparkle Look in Green
For this look, the Target Beauty Concierge suggested the Revlon Photoready Eye Art, Maybelline Fit Me Blush, Maybelline Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil and Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express Mascara. She recommended that I use the Revlon Photoready Eye Art green metallic shade as my eye shadow and eye liner on the upper lids, and then use the gold glitter to outline my upper lash line for that ultimate glam look. She wanted me to only use the Maybelline Gel Liner on my lower lash line and to finish the eye look with the Maybelline the Falsies Volum’ Express for the ultimate false eye lash look. To complement the eye look, she added in the rose-toned blush.
I’ve tried both of the looks and I’m in love! The Revlon Photoready Eye Art takes some getting used to. It’s a bit heavy since it’s a liquid, but it dried fairly quickly and was easy to apply. And the glitter on my upper lash line—um, yes please! Can I wear this stuff every day? I’m swooning over the Maybelline Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil. It goes on like butter! And last but certainly not least is the L’Oreal La Palette Nude 2. Those berry tones, y’all! I can’t wait to create some more looks!
I hope you’ll visit a Target Beauty Concierge to help you get holiday beauty ready soon! My excursions have been so much fun! Find your style @TargetStyle.
Happy holidays!
