Can you believe we are only a month away from summertime??? Bring on the sunshine and long evenings!! With summer quickly approaching, it’s time to start taking stock of our beauty routine. It’s important to get our summertime beauty ready to go because it’ll be here before we know it! Here are some of my summer skin care tips…
This post is written in partnership with Socialstars and RoC. All opinions are 100% my own. #WomenwhoRoC
ONE. Protect your lips
Your lips will dry out super fast in the summertime. Help lock in the moisture by applying SPF Lip Balm regularly.
TWO. Wear a wide-brim hat.
When you are outdoors, add a wide-brim hat to your outfit! Stylish and effective at keeping the sun’s harmful rays off your face.
THREE. Wear SPF moisturizer during the day. And then re-moisturize at night.
Add a SPF moisturizer into your morning routine. I wear an SPF moisturizer year-round, but if you don’t, add one in. Go with one 30SPF or higher as recommended by the AAD.
FOUR. Keep a foundation powder that contains SPF with you at all time.
Sometimes, its just a hassle to reapply SPF moisturizer over your makeup. Keep a powder in your purse that contains SPF and touch up as necessary to keep the protection going all day long.
FIVE. Drink lots of water.
In the warmer months, our bodies sweat more. To keep up with the water loss, we need to drink more of it. Don’t like plain water, add fruits or veggies to make it more interesting.
SIX. Exfoliate weekly.
Exfoliate your skin at least weekly, if not twice a week. Try one of my body scrub recipes.
SEVEN. Protect your hands.
Use a hand cream that contains SPF. Reapply as needed.
EIGHT. Wear sunglasses when outdoors.
Always keep your sunnies with you!
One of my favorite overall moisturizers has been the RoC® MULTI CORREXION® 5 in 1 Chest, Neck and Face Cream. It’s the cream I use at night time to help encourage my skin to replenish itself. I like that it helps protect my skin against future damage too. So before the summertime is upon us, take stock of your current routine and begin to incorporate some of my summer skin care tips.

Awesome tips! However, I’m still waiting for Spring weather to show up here in Michigan. I’m all about having my sunglasses!!
