It makes me want to start singing R-E-S-P-E-C-T when I put it out like that. I thought about changing the words to Aretha’s song and trying to sing a song about recycling but…
a) I’m terrible at writing song lyrics

My whole life I’ve been interested in helping keep our planet green. I can remember when I was in 3rd grade my teacher made a big deal over Earth Day. I remember a special even being on tv that year about Earth Day. Some sort of Kids Incorporated-esqe like show. (Anyone remember that show on the Disney channel??) Anyways…I try and recycle when I can. Being on the road isn’t always conducive to recycling. But I can tell you that all the paper that I go through for work purposes does make its way to a recycling bin. Geesh…you should see the amount of paper!

When I lived in Germany it was such a shock to see how much they recycled! It’s mandated by law and we had 5 separate trash cans in our kitchen… crazy, right?! But they recycle 90% of their waste and therefore have no landfills in the country which is amazing! It was such a culture shock when we moved back to the US and went back to having one trash can and a tiny little recycle bin. I love that these clothes are made out of recycled material! Way to be unique!

People forget how easy it is to recycle too! I love that this company exists and reminds people that it really is that easy!
I feel like I have said this a million times but I think it’s pretty awesome that they turn plastic bottles into fabric used for clothes. At least we know we can still have clothes if there is ever a cotton shortage. 😉
