Imagine for a moment the taste of a really good Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Like seriously imagine the taste. I’ve always thought those cakes had such a distinct flavor that the moment I think about one, I can recall the exact taste. It’s really quite unbelievable because I couldn’t even tell you the last time I ate a really good one. So the other day I started thinking about what I could create using some of the Cake Vodka that I still have. I recently used it in my Strawberry Shortcake Moonshine if you missed it. (So good!) I got to thinking about different cake recipes and ding ding ding ding ding…Pineapple Upside Down Cake. And y’all…this tastes just like you are eating legit cake. My mouth is watering over here just remembering the taste. Here’s the deets on this Pineapple Upside Down Cake Cocktail…
Ingredients
Ice
Grenadine
Fresh Pineapple Rings/Slices
4 oz. Pineapple Juice (the good stuff)
2 oz. Cake Vodka (I used Smirnoff Iced Cake Vodka)
Maraschino Cherries for garnish
Directions
Get yourself a mason jar and drop one of the pineapple slices into the bottom, add a bit of ice, then another pineapple slice and then a bit of ice, keep layering till full. I used a 16 oz jar (pint sized). Pour some grenadine over the ice/pineapple slices. Add in the cake flavored vodka and pineapple juice. Stir to combine. Garnish with a few maraschino cherries.
Cheers!
**Please drink responsibly**
