Having been married for over 8 years and shopped off of several friend’s wedding registries, I feel like I’m a pro at all things wedding registry. I’m sharing what I think are the MUST-HAVES on your Wedding Registry. Things that I think will make your life easier as a newlywed. Everything on the list is Pink Heels Pink Truck approved!
Dinnerware & Drinkware
8 place settings – either Formal or Casual (or both): I went with Casual because I knew I’d eventually end up with my mom’s china.
Cake Stand: a couple of these come in handy!
Serving Platters: add at least 2 to your list
Chip & Dip Tray
Salt & Pepper Shakers: get grinders if you can!
Serving Bowls: stock up on these!
Tumblers: think for beer
Corkscrew: manual or electric or both if you are fancy!
Knife Set: splurge here!
Cookware & Bakeware
Small Saucepans: 2
Small Skillet: make sure you get at least 1 cast iron!
Cookie Sheets: get the ones that have a deep lip for dual purpose!
Splatter Screen: a life-saver!
Mesh Strainer: I promise…you’ll need this!
Wooden Spoons: I own stock in these!
Heat Pads or Trivets
Cutting Board: I recommend a Wooden one and a Glass one.
Bed & Bath
2 Sheet Sets: one for on the bed and one for the wash
Shower Curtain Liner
Shower Curtain Rings
Throw Blanket: a couple!
Kitchen Gadgets & Electronics
Blender: register for a Blendtec or a Vitamix
Kitchen Mixer: register for that KitchenAid Mixer!
Coffee Maker: a Keurig if you can!
Can Opener: recommend the manual kind
What would you add to the Perfect Wedding Registry Checklist??

Great list and this also works for the single lady who’s purchasing her first home. I can say that from experience. I’m in my early thirties and thought why should I have to wait for marriage to get the coveted “wedding registry” items. With a little time and patience (and serious bargain shopping) I’ve slowly collected the items you mentioned with the quality that will stand the test of time. Or so I hope. Awesome list and I’ll be sure to use yours too. Thanks

I think you nailed it! I’d also like to add that I think you should get to register all over again at the ten year anniversary mark, when all those small appliances you got for your wedding coordinate an attack and stop working! HA! 🙂
Great list!! We went to Germany for a year following our wedding and everyone gave us linens because they would “pack well”. A lifetime supply! That we couldn’t take with us anyway. We missed out on a lot of things that would have really been helpful! Ah,well — It was the thought, right? This will also be a great list to for other gift giving occasions. Pinned. Thanks!

I find it interesting that you love glass cutting boards, I have never really been a fan, myself. I think it’s because of my tendency to break wine glasses and measuring cups, so I have a fear of extra glass things.
so love this list daughter getting married soon I think this is the best list I have ever saw
