Hey! Hey! Welcome to the THIRD Literary Junkies Link PAR-TAY!! Lesley (By the Porchlight) and I are so excited for this link party to be here again!! Yay!!
So, if you are new to this PAR-TAY, here are the questions that you need to answer in a blog post and link up with us!! π
1. Which book could you read over and over? Why?
2. If you could be any character from any book you’ve read, who would you be?
3. Do you ever put a book down because you just can’t get into it? Or do you stick it out to the bitter end? Any examples?
4. Show us your book shelves! Do you have one designated spot in your house for all your books? Do you scatter them around?
So, if you are reading these questions for the very first time (and are just now learning about this fun link party…go write your post and link up!)
Okay, so here are my answers….
1. Which book could you read over and over? Why?
There are actually two books that I could read over and over. The first one is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and the second is One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell. Two totally opposite books, but both of them reel me and every single time! π
2. If you could be any character from any book you’ve read, who would you be?
Kinsey Milhone from Sue Grafton’s Alphabet Murder Mystery Series. I love everything about this girl!
3. Do you ever put a book down because you just can’t get into it? Or do you stick it out to the bitter end? Any examples?
If I buy it, I’ll read it. No matter what. Even if it takes me 7 years to read. True Story…and the book was I Don’t Know How She Does It by Allison Pearson. And let me tell you the movie with Sarah Jessica Parker wasn’t much better. I’m also still stuck on last month’s book that I was reading around the time of the link party…In the Kitchen by Monica Ali. I’m just really struggling through it. But since I bought it, I’ll keep on trudging. ha!
4. Show us your book shelves! Do you have one designated spot in your house for all your books? Do you scatter them around?
So, I kind of have books everywhere right now because I’m living in 2 different locations. I have two bookcases at home. One for books I’ve read and want to keep and one for books I haven’t read yet. In my hotel, I have books sitting in my night stand cubby that I haven’t read and then I have 2 drawers in one of my dressers that are full of books that I have already read and am looking to sell. π See my Book Hoarder’s Sale to check out what I’ve got! π
Okay…so now it’s your turn…add your link and let’s get this party started! π

Ok, now I’m curious about why you’re living in a hotel part-time. Your shelves are like a library. #envious

I *LOVE* the Great Gatsby!! And I can imagine that I Donβt Know How She Does It was a hard read! I really like Sarah Jessica Parker and even I was less than impressed with that movie. That says a lot because usually I’m pretty forgiving of bad movies with people I like in them.

I loved The Great Gasby and I will have to check out One Fifth Avenue. I try to finish terrible books as well. I spend money on them and I hate not to read them. Sometimes it does take a loooonnnggg time. I will browse through the Book Hoarders Sale. I am sure there will be something that catches my eye. I noticed that you have Meg Cabot in your stash. I love her books. They are fun reads. I also love Marian Keyes, her books are also fun!

Please, please tell me those are Nancy Drew books on the shelf in the books you’re gonna keep? Those books were/are SO good! I remember reading them and borrowing them from the library a bunch when I was younger and always wanted to own them. hehe
You’ve got me curious with “One Fifth Avenue”. Never heard of it before and it just might have to be added to my “to read” list. Loving how this link-up is bringing out books I’ve never heard of.

I love that vintage cabinet! So cool! Also, Nancy Drew!! I have a few of those on my shelf, too, but have actually never read them!
Also… you’re living in a hotel?!

I love The Great Gatsby! I’ve noticed you read a lot of Jennifer Cruise? Are her books pretty good? I’ve never read anything by her.
Rachel says
I’ve never read anything by Sue Grafton. Looks like you have lots of her on your shelves! I need to check into her books!
