I’ve got a fun project coming to the blog in the next few weeks and part of the project was purchasing some plants. While I was shopping for the plants I needed to purchase, I decided I wanted to add a lavender plant to my back porch. So I bought two plants. And now they are happily growing in 2 large terracotta pots out back. And the fragrance is heavenly!!! Oh, y’all. If you don’t have a lavender plant, you are seriously missing out. So many things you can do with lavender. And the oil that can be pressed from it, is natures most versatile essential oil! I’ve got a few lavender themed posts in my archives like this roundup of lavender diys and recipes and this diy lavender bath soak.
Anyways, back to my heavenly smelling lavender plants. I’ve been thinking about what kind of cocktail I could make with lavender. It seems to be an “hot” ingredient right now and why not get my creative juices going and come up with a new concoction. I went to Pinterest to start my research process on what had been done in the past (aka what people thought made good flavor profiles with lavender). And oh my stars…there are some beautiful lavender cocktails out there. And I’m sharing some that I’m eager to try…for research purposes and all. 😉
