I’m #SilveradoStrong!!

Meet Black Beauty. She’s my 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Dually. She’s been in our family since she was rolled off the assembly line. She’s one of I don’t know how many Silverado trucks we’ve owned. My hubby and I are Chevy Truck lovers. (Well, I do have to give a shoutout to my 1954 GMC Truck…but she’s part of the GM family so we’re still all good). 😉 So you can imagine my surprise when I was notified that Chevy wanted to send me to the Nascar race this past Sunday on behalf of the new Chevy Silverado. Ummm…this was a no brainer! A chance to cheer on some fast race car drivers on behalf of my number one truck brand, sign me up!

I personally cannot wait until the 3500 Dually model arrives next Spring!! Owning a car lot means we own various size car trailers. From bumper pull trailers to big 3 & 4 car haulers that require a gooseneck in the back of the truck, we have to have good heavy duty trucks. And let me tell you, our Chevy’s have always done us right.

Okay, so enough of my love about Chevy Trucks (#SilveradoStrong baby!!). Let’s get on to some pics of my very first Nascar experience. And boy was it a fun one!!

Before the race, the new Silverado’s were lined up on the track waiting to drive each driver around the track.

I was super excited to see my Alma Mater’s band participating in the Pre-Race Festivities! Go FROGS!!

Starting race positions…

I got me one of these….

with headphones so I could listen to the announcers and 3 drivers all while being able to watch those 3 drivers on that little tv screen. Well, their cameras on their cars. The cool thing about those cameras is that when they go on caution, the camera cuts to the driver so you can see them actually driving. It is such a neat experience! And see…you are looking at Danica inside her car! So cool!

I listened to Jimmie Johnson (the winner of the race!!), Matt Kenseth and Danica Patrick. Honestly, I couldn’t really tell the guys a part. But I knew when Danica was talking on the radio (duh!) and I also knew when her spotters were talking by the way they were talking to her. Y’all she’s very girly. Don’t get me wrong…she’s one tough chick for being out there amongst testosterone driven men. But she’s girly. And I thought that was the coolest thing about her.

These amazing planes were our flyover entertainment! Got a few old schools flying high!!
