Looking to update your Winter Wardrobe? Check out these tips on updating your Winter Wardrobe from some of my favorite fashion bloggers (and myself!). These 8 fashion pieces are inexpensive way to update your wardrobe this winter!

From Me: “A puffer vest is so versatile! I wear my puffer vest with a lot of outfits just to give me some added warmth. In this outfit, it’s dressed up with my statement necklace. You can also throw it on with a plaid top, denim jeans and riding boots or hunter boots. Or to keep things simple for running errands, throw it on over a long sleeve tee and leggings, grab a scarf and beanie and you’re ready to go!”
From Chasing Davies: “Adding a piece with fringe can instantly punch up your outfit, and right now there is no shortage out there to find and buy, but you can also DIY yourself a piece by adding your own layer of fringe with minimal sewing skills!”
From Sandy a la Mode: “A faux fur vest is a chic update to your look and the additional layer keeps you warm during the colder months. It can be styled so many ways, such as with a top and jeans or over a dress with tights. You can even go from office to dinner by swapping that blazer for the vest.”
From Still Being Molly: “Flared denim is flattering on literally every single body type. It’s a great pair of “staple denim” that can make any casual outfit look that much more on-trend and sleek. And, even better, a dark wash pair of flares can be easily dressed up or dressed down for any occasion!”
From Sparkling Footsteps: “As the colder months creep in on us, I find myself layering more than ever before. I never thought I would be into turtlenecks but I really love the ways that you can layer them! They look really cute under another sweater or even layered underneath a turtleneck sweater dress!”
From Lipgloss & Crayons: “A great pair of boots update simple basics. Leggings, jeans, a dress or even a pencil skirt……look WAY more on trend with a pair of great knee high boots! Boots are a great way to get longevity out of your staples.”
From Walking in Memphis in High Heels: “A faux fur collar is a great way to update your wardrobe easily and inexpensively. The collar can be paired with any coat to add a layer that’ll keep you warm while looking luxe and chic too. It can even be worn as a scarf too. It dresses up any outfit, adds visual interest, and best of all, it’ll keep you warm and cozy this winter.
From Lauren McBride: “Ponchos are my favorite layering piece for winter! They’re so easy to throw on over some jeans, a top, and a pair of boots. I love the added warmth they give, especially when worn with a hat and gloves. If you’re buying one for the first time, choose a neutral color or print that can be worn with a variety of outfits to get the most bang for your buck!”

Love these ideas! I think the only two I don’t have are fringe and a puffer jacket, but they’re on my list now! It can be expensive to update your winter wardrobe since heavier sweaters and boots are generally more expensive than warm weather clothing, but if you invest in just a few of these I’m sure you’ll get so much more from your seasonal wardrobe.

I never thought I would miss wearing a turtleneck but I do. It has not gotten cold enough here to wear one. Well Maybe I can do a sleeveless turtleneck.
