I’m back with another “I’m-wearing-white-after-Labor-Day” fall look. As discussed previously when I shared a how to wear white pants for fall, I love being able to wear white when the mood strikes me. So, I’m going to keep breaking the rules. 😉 It was super windy during this shoot in downtown Fort Worth and walking in these high heels, from my car parked out in Timbuktu, certainly made things interesting. At one point, the wind nearly knocked me off my feet. Crazy town.
So y’all know I love a good pair of heels. I mean, my blog name kind of gives it away, don’t you think? I remember when I first started blogging that I would keep tabs on my shoe closet, virtually speaking. Each new pair was added into my virtual shoe closet for everyone to keep track of my crazy shoe obsession with me. I’ve long since removed that craziness from my blog but I’ve not stopped with the shoe love. Just hit play on this video and you’ll see what I mean…
And that’s not even the half of them. That’s just mostly all the closed toed high heels and one sling-back peep toe high heel. I have many many more in my closet. In fact, I’m kind of banned from buying anymore shoes, unless I plan on purging my existing collection. (But shhhh, I just bought another pair yesterday…they were so cute! It was too hard to resist!)
When Amopé reached out and said “Hey we want to collaborate with you” I was like, this is a match made in heaven! Major #ShoeLOVE over here!! Do you know the havoc that heels play on my feet?? I have a few heels that I can’t wear for very long because they offer zero support. (You’re probably thinking, what heels have support, but I’m going to tell you that I’ll take a platform heel over a non-platform heel any day of the week. I can wear those all day long without much issue. Give me a non-platform heel and I’m hobbling after a few hours.) So, I’ll take any comfort that I can possibly squeak out!
I purchased Amopé Gel Activ™ Extreme Heel Insoles from Target and gave them a test run and was pleasantly surprised at the added comfort. Each pair lasts about 6 months (give or take how much you wear a pair of heels). Most of my heels fall into the Extreme Heel category, but Amopé makes an insole for a variety of shoe types: Amopé Gel Activ Every Day Heels, Amopé Gel Activ Flat Shoes and Amopé Gel Activ Open Shoes.
I am able to transfer the insoles from shoe to shoe without any issue, although I’ll probably buy a few more so that I don’t have to “reset” the insoles each time (my heels all have different pitches to the arch). They are super slim, 25% thinner than other insoles, (see photo) and don’t make me feel like I’m getting boxed into the toe area of my heels.
What’s cool about each one of the types of insoles is that it’s tailored to that type of shoe. For me and my extreme heels, they offer extra comfort and support for the balls of my feet and arches. For my flat shoes, they offer the much needed heel support. A little something for everyone! Purchase the Amopé Gel Activ Insoles at Target. I found mine in the beauty/health care section.
I’m excited to be able to offer my readers the opportunity to try Amopé Gel Activ Insoles for free (via Mail-in-Rebate). Take advantage because the offer expires 10/23/2016!! Turn your heels into sneakers!
What kind of fall look are you going to rock this season with your now comfortable heels?? Which insole do you want to try?? #Amopé
