Fabric flowers are such an easy craft and they are perfect additions to other projects. They can be added to wreaths, headbands, frames, the possibilities are endless! I’ve been wanting to try making some for the past few months and this past weekend I finally dove in and tried it out. Check out the steps below and see how easy they really are.
Easiest Fabric Flowers Ever
Materials:
- Fabric (I used a Jelly Roll)
- Aleenes Tacky Glue
- Self-Adhesive Scrapbook Pearls
- Cut 6-2.5″ squares of fabric
- Round 4 of the squares into circle-ish shapes
- The other two squares, cut into 4 ovals
- Place a dot of glue in the center of the circles (or ovals) on the backside
- Fold in half and hold
- Place a dot of glue in the center of the straight edge formed by folding
- Fold in half and hold
- Cut a circle out of fabric or felt
- Cover the circle in glue and position the 4 large petals into a circle
- Put a dot of glue at the center of the 4 petals
- Pinwheel the smaller ovals over the larger petals
- Place a dot of glue in the center of the pinwheeled petals
- Place the pearl in the dot of glue and let dry
I love how they turned out, I have more colors and patterns left in the jelly roll and I can’t wait to make more. I still need to make my wreath for this summer and I’m thinking that some of these flowers will be perfect to go on there.
Have you ever tried making fabric flowers? How did you use them?
