It is always fun to add a bit of glitter into home decor. How can you not smile when seeing something all nice and sparkly?
A couple weeks ago, I was checking out the Target Dollar section when I saw this awesome glittered jar. I knew that I wanted to do SOMETHING with this glittered jar; however, I wasn’t sure exactly what until recently.
I realized that it was a great size to hold some delicious treats for when you need a little pick-me-up. Of course I couldn’t simply leave it plain, I wanted to add a little decal to it as well. If you can’t find the jar pre-glittered, it would be very easy to do yourself with a plain jar by following the same tutorial as these glittered wine glasses.
To add the “sweets” decal, I pulled out my trusty Silhouette software and picked the perfect font. I had some adhesive gold foil that was perfect to go along with the gold glitter.
The jar ended up being a little bigger than I realized, I had three bags of Skittles in my pantry and it barely filled the jar. I’m thinking that once the Skittles are gone, I might pick up some Jolly Ranchers or larger treats to better fill the jar.
I love how this glittered jar turned out; it is going to be perfect on my desk at work for when I need a little sweet treat. Where would you put a sparkly sweets jar?
