This post is in partnership with Eppa Sangria. All stories, opinions and recipes are my own.
I cannot believe we are nearing August. Where-oh-where has this year gone?? I’m kind of pumped about August though because it means the return of College Football. And if you’ve been around these parts in the history of ever, you already know my L-O-V-E for football. I can watch it all, but I prefer to watch those college boys play. It’s such a near and dear to me sport. Something my family would do together weekly as a kid. Our team back then was the Arkansas Razorbacks. Now I cheer for the Hogs, TCU Frogs (my alma mater) and the Aggies (Texas A&M…my hubs alma mater). I’m a happy girl when it’s football time. Enough of my football dreams…let’s start talking about this Blackberry Sangria. This is something you definitely want to add to your next hangout. The blackberry flavor is divine and well this is just the BEST summer sangria ever. Like when I tasted it, I immediately wished I had someone to share it with. The secret is in the starter…the Eppa Suprafruta Red Sangria. It’s already sangria ready to go. And is yummy all by itself, I just wanted to kick it up a notch. LOL On to the recipe:
Ingredients
1 bottle of Eppa Suprafruta Red Sangria
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 c. Monin Blackberry
1 c. blackberries
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 orange, sliced
1/2 orange, juiced
1 lime, sliced
1 lime, juiced
Directions
Put blackberries, water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to boil, then reduce to simmer for 10 minutes or until blackberries are soft. Strain the syrup through a mesh strainer, mashing the blackberries to get all the juice out, into a bowl over ice (to help cool the mixture quickly). In a pitcher, pour in the bottle of the Eppa Suprafruta Red Sangria, vodka, Monin, sliced fruit and fresh squeezed juice. Add in the cooled blackberry simple syrup. Stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least a few hours, if not overnight. Pour in your favorite glass and enjoy!

Ok, this is the best way I have seen to use the blackberries I pick each summer. You need to come up with a raspberry cocktail, they are what is growing in my woods right now. Seriously I need to pick up a bottle of the sangria, I think I will make my own blackberry syrup.
