My Review: 4 out of 5 stars. Mary Kay Andrews is by and far one of my most favorite authors. I’ve read nearly everything she has ever written. My very first book by her was The Fixer Upper. I think my anticipation for this book set me up just a bit. I liked the story (heck I read it in 2.5 days) but I didn’t LOVE the story. It kind of fell short for me. Maybe it was some of the characters. Maybe it was a bit of the story line. I’m really not certain. But it just fell a tad short for me. I still rated it as a 4 because it didn’t suck and there were some really good parts but I didn’t LOVE LOVE LOVE it like I have loved her other books.
