Oh the holidays! The one time a year where it’s holiday party after holiday party and you spend time with people you may not see on a regular basis. Talk about stress! More questions that need answers during the holidays…what to wear? what to eat? what to serve your guests? where is so-and-so going to sleep? How in the world are you supposed to manage it all?? With grace, y’all. And lots of laughter!! And your best friends!! Here are 5 Tips to Holiday Readiness to help keep you floating this holiday season. Don’t forget to check out my previous post…6 Tips to Getting Holiday Photo Ready
TIP 1: Sneak some time for yourself.
Make sure to schedule in some time to relax and rejuvenate from all of the holiday festivities. I’m being serious. Put it in your planner. Book a massage. Take some time to read a book. Go to the movies. Go shopping for something for yourself.
TIP 2: Goof off with your girl friends.
TIP 3: Give yourself permission to laugh! (at yourself even)
Totally not kidding here. We make so many to-do lists during the holidays, things are bound to go wrong. It’s important to just laugh during those times. It’s really not going to be the end of the world. 😉
TIP 4: Get some zzzzzz’s.
Getting in some beauty rest during the holidays is even more crucial. We seem to be going 90-miles-per-hour and our bodies truly take the brunt of it. Make sure you are getting at least 6 hours of sleep each night. 8 hours would be optimal. And make sure you don’t stay up late every.single.night. It will all be there when you wake up the next day.
TIP 5: Drink lots of water & moisturize your skin!
We tend to over indulge when it comes to this time of year. The food is more extravagant. The drinks are more extravagant. The weather is colder and more dry. Our skin and bodies take a beating during the holidays! It’s important to keep ourselves hydrated both on the inside and outside! Drink plenty of water and moisturize your skin. You want to look your very best in your photos right?!
I’ve been loving the RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer. My skin needs a greater drink of moisture in the winter and this is really helping. I love that it has an SPF of 30 in it, so I don’t have to put on too many products! And it helps to visibly diminish wrinkles…yes please! I’ve always had smile lines. And while I think they give me character, I don’t want them getting more pronounced as I age. Anything to help slow things down a bit. 😉
