Co-owning a Vintage Rental business has many perks. One being an ever growing inventory to use at my disposal (ie decorating my home for the holidays). Another perk is the ability to style many different types of events. From weddings to photoshoots to holiday parties. Each year, my business partner and I offer our clients the chance to have their holiday portraits taken in one of our themed living room scenes. This year, we decided to forego the traditional reds & greens and jump into blues, creams and add in a bit of nature. We’re calling it the Woodland Wonderland. And it’s GORGEOUS!! Our clients have been raving over this year’s setup. I’m personally really excited with how it turned out and am looking forward to bringing our Woodland Wonderland Holiday Decor into my home right after Thanksgiving!!
My hubs and I are hosting Christmas this year and for once, I’m excited for my in laws to spend time in our home. (Is it sad that I haven’t decorated our home since we moved in 4 years ago?? Please don’t answer. LOL Because yes it is sad.) I can remember it being a HUGE tradition in my home, as a kid, to decorate for Christmas. The weekend after Thanksgiving meant that dad was up in the attic getting down the tree and all of the Christmas decor, so that mom and I could start decorating. We’d spend hours unwrapping and unboxing each individual ornament for the tree (and then “trimming it”), setting up the Christmas village on the antique buffet in our hallway, hanging the stockings and wreaths, all while listening to Mannheim Steamroller on CD and drinking hot cocoa. This year I’m going to bring back my childhood traditions. And instead of hot cocoa while I trim the tree, I’m going to be drinking a chilled glass of Santa Margherita Wines Pinot Grigio.
I have to be honest….I’ve already got a head start on my new-old tradition. After my business partner and I finished setting up the Woodland Wonderland Holiday Decor in the park, I popped the cork on a bottle of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio in early celebration of the holiday season. Because why not enjoy some girl time before waiting on your clients to arrive? In the hustle and bustle of the season, sometimes it’s hard to take a break and just enjoy your friends and family. You feel like you have to schedule it in. So impromptu gab sessions, no matter where they occur, help fuel my heart and soul. And what better accompaniment than a premium wine like Santa Margherita Wines.
To achieve the Woodland Wonderland look in your own home, go in search of the following items: natural wreath (ours is made from Oleander and Pine Sprigs and we used Command Hooks to attach to our custom made Herringbone Floating Wall), glittery reindeer, bottle trees, glittery trees, pine needle garland, mirrored trays, miniture faux trees, vintage sleds, vintage wooden crates, fluffy shag pillows, faux-fur throws, brass candlestick holders, candles in whites, golds and champagnes, variety of antlers and mis-matched lanterns filled with ornaments, flocked pine cones and faux snow.
