I’m back, y’all. And can I tell you how good it feels to get my fingers moving over these keys right now?? Have you noticed the changes around here? The new blog name? The new images? I’m starting fresh and I couldn’t be more excited to bring you on this journey. Before I start talking about my rebrand, I want to tell you why you need to invest in a personal branding photoshoot. This is my 2nd personal branding photoshoot and let me tell you, this one represents me on so many different levels.
If you’ve never considered investing in a photoshoot for your business/blog, please consider doing so.
5 Reasons Why You Should Invest in a Personal Branding Photoshoot
Reason #1
You want your audience/readers/customers to see you in your creative element. People are incredibly curious creatures. We are more likely to stick around and get to know someone when we can put a face with a name or put a face with a brand. These kinds of photos speak to who you are behind the scenes.
Reason #2
These photos will up your marketing game. Forget the lawyer/doctor poses. Lifestyle photography is extremely styled and curated. It puts you in your environment with movement and motion. Every detail counts. It allows your customers to “see” you in what you do best.
Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room. -Jeff Bezos, Amazon
Reason #3
These photos will help you attract the readers/customers you want to attract. Level up your brand with a personal branding photoshoot and you open up doors to finding the readers/customers you want to service/work with.
Reason #4
Investing in yourself goes a long way towards the forward momentum of your business and your own self-care. Forget the “vanity” card. A personal branding photoshoot is you owning who you are and what you bring to the table.
Reason #5
Give yourself photos to use on all the social media platforms – especially Instagram!!
Have I convinced you yet?? Not quite?? Let me show you some more of my images…
Now let me share a behind the scenes with my rebrand. If you aren’t familiar with my podcast (gasp?! why not??), you definitely need to listen to Episode 114 – Deciding to Rebrand to hear the full back story. I can say this process has not been an easy one. This blog was neglected for way too long in pursuit of keeping all of the other side hustle gigs moving full steam ahead. I also really struggled with who I was and what I wanted this space to be. If you’ve ever been down this road, you know that it’s incredibly overwhelming to figure out how to fight back against yourself and to figure out how to just find the air to breathe, knowing you’ve potentially failed at something. Even though this was never a failure for me. (Side Note: I think we can be our own worst critics. I know I am and it’s a constant struggle.)
I still felt like a failure for watching this blog, the former iteration of it, crash and burn. Not really, but when you consistently blog for 6 years – 5 days every week – and then stop doing that routine, it comes crashing around you sooner or later. And that’s a really hard recovery process. But I’ve now pushed past those last few hurdles.
I’ve rebranded into my name.
I’ve got a new mission: “Unleashing My Creativity & Inspiring Statement Makers”
I’ve got ideas oozing out of me.
I have a clear picture on the type of content I want to write about and share with you.
I’m ready to move forward and not look back.
I’ve come to peace knowing that chapter is complete and am ready for whatever this next chapter holds.
So what’s new?
This blog is now a focus on my Creative Entrepreneur Life and all the things that encompass that. I am crafty. I am creative. I am a hustler. You will see me revamp my #bloggingedumacation series and start giving out more blogging tips & tricks. You will see my Creative Entrepreneur Life. You will see Fashion/Style, Wedding & Event Inspiration, Cocktails & Moonshine Recipes, DIY Projects & more.
You will know who I am without a shadow of a doubt and you will be inspired to be the statement maker you are.
I hope you are now ready to invest in a personal branding photoshoot of your own! I know I’m already prepping for my next one!! You can never have too many stock photos of your own personal brand for use on Instagram and the other various social media platforms. It’s time to tell YOUR personal branding story. Are you ready?
Major love to my photographer, Trish (Beatbox Portraits), for this amazing personal branding photoshoot experience. xo
