The Hope Mission, is a non-profit organization that I set up to provide hope to those that are in the Heart of Need. What is the Heart of Need? People/Pets who experience a natural disaster. When we’re not helping those involved in a natural disaster, The Hope Mission will support local agencies such as food banks, shelters, etc. How do we help those that need it? By providing donations to organizations who are set up to help those in the Heart of the Need such as churches, food pantries, shelters, etc. We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel. We just want those that support our mission to know that their monies will be donated directly to the organizations who are putting themselves out there to help.
I started The Hope Mission after my heart began to tell me that I needed to do something to help those in the heart of the need after Hurricane Sandy, meaning those individuals/pets that were right smack dab in the middle of the destruction/devastation/heartache. Being in Texas, the news quickly faded within about 2 weeks after that monstrous storm hit, probably because the devastation wasn’t anywhere nearby (out of sight, out of mind). It’s taken me awhile to get this non-profit up and going…applications for exemption status at both the state and federal level, experiencing tornadoes in my own neighborhood, etc.
My neighborhood is still rebuilding after our tornadoes a few weeks ago. Moore, OK is rebuilding after their devastating tornado. The Northeastern Shoreline is still rebuilding after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. It takes such a long time to put your home/life back together after experiencing devastation. You never think something like that will happen to you until it actually does.
It is incredibly humbling to see those not affected by the tragedies walking around passing out food and water and lending a hand to help pull falling trees off your house or pick up shingles/debris out of your yard or rescue your belongings. Every time someone would ask me if I needed help or food or water, I would begin to cry. People helping people in a time of need, when they truly need hope is a very powerful experience when you are on the receiving end.
How can you help?? I’ve created a special edition blogger shirt to raise money to help get The Hope Mission off the ground and running. There are 2 options:
Each blogger tshirt is $19.95. My goal is to sell 50 of each shirt by June 30th. Please help me spread the word! Blog about it, Instagram it, Share my Post, Facebook about it, Tweet it, Pin it, Tell all of your blog friends! Thank you for supporting my non-profit. Truly, I mean it from the bottom of my heart!!

These are adorable! If I didn’t blog anonymously, I would totally wear one of these. As it is, even my close friends don’t know I’m blogging. I would love to tell them, but they’d get drunk and blab, probably, and I don’t want that! Haha

IT will only print if you sell 50? I wonder if that may be why people aren’t ordering as they’re worried you won’t hit the goal?
I want one in each color.
No I need one in each color LOL

I love your idea and the shirts are adorable! I have to order one, they’re too cute. My hubby is from Texas, and I was born & raised here in central Oklahoma. We were extremely blessed. The tornado from May 20 missed our apartment and hub’s store by blocks, and the tornado that hit Granbury did some serious damage to the hub’s gma’s house in Pecan Plantation, but it wasn’t destroyed and she wasn’t hurt 🙂 I’ve been doing anything I can to help in relief efforts because it really does hurt to see our neighbors and friends suffer such devastation. Thank you <3
