So let’s talk about this super cute DIY Upcycled Flower Vase, shall we? How stinkin cute, right?? And here’s my super super secret to make this DIY….it’s made from my empty Suave Lotion bottle. Pretty nifty, huh?! You could totally make this using empty shampoo, conditioner or lotion bottles! And the tutorial…easy breezy!! And would make a super fun kid craft!!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Empty beauty bottle like my Suave Lotion Bottle
Exacto-Knife
Sharpie
Spray Paint
4″ Burlap
Jute String
Scissors
Flowers
Instructions
1. Draw a straight line all the way around the top of the bottle. (Or as straight as you can manage.)
2. Take your Exacto-Knife and cut around the line. Try to keep your knife in a straight line.
3. Now, go wash out your bottle till it’s empty and clean!
4. Time for spray paint. I chose metallic silver. Spray on one side. Let it dry based on the spray paint bottle instructions. Then spray paint the other side and let dry.
5. Take your 4″ Burlap and measure how much you want to use. Cut.
7. Fold the 4″ Burlap in half. Wrap around the bottle. Place the bottle on the seam side to hold it in place while you cut your piece of jute string.
8. Tie your jute string in a knot around your burlap to hold it in place. Then tie into a ribbon.

How do you recycle your bathroom products? My town has a local recycling station that takes plastic, paper and aluminum products. I keep a couple of different bins to keep thing sorted so that it’s easy to go drop off at the recycling bins.

What a creative idea…I’ve never even thought to do anything like that with my old bottles. It’s so cute and I couldn’t even tell from the pictures that’s what it was made from. Thanks so much for sharing with Share The Wealth Sunday!
