Hiiiiiiiii friends! How are you all doing? Making it through the spring weather alright? It’s done nothing but rain here for weeks and weeks. It has been driving me crazy being stuck in side so often. However there is one good thing that comes with being stuck inside, more time for do it yourself projects! I love to relax in the tub so I thought it would be fun to share my recipe for a DIY Lavender Bath Soak with you all.
The ingredients for this DIY are super super super easy!
- 2 TBSP sea salt
- 5 TBSP epson salt
- 1/2 drop purple food coloring (optional)
- 25 drops of lavender essential oil
Once mixed up this will be fantastic for a nice hot bath. It’s super relaxing and lavender is said to help aid in sleep so hopefully it will helps if you’re like me and a self diagnosed insomniac!
In a small mixing bowl mix all the ingredients together and add your food coloring if you choose to and mix it all up. You can put it into a air tight container and save it for up to a year at room temperature.
Super easy, right? I absolutely love this bath soak! I use it all the time. You could even double or triple the recipe and turn these into gifts for friends! Awesome, yes? YES!

I just made some bath salts…now the problem is, I never seem to relax enough to take a tub. But I have good intentions! When I use mine up, I’m going to try your recipe next!

Thanks for sharing on craft schooling Sunday, I actually need to get some epsom salt as it is apparently what one of my plants needs for its purple edged leaves! So maybe i can do both, so much fun! thanks for sharing on craft schooling Sunday.

I’ve read that Epsom salts are great for detoxing the body. I feel great after an Epsom salt bath! Adding the lavender oil would make it even more heavenly! Thanks for joining us at the Family Joy Linkup!

I have already decided I’d like to drink more after seeing your cocktails this week – and i love this, too. I really think you should co-ordinate your cocktails and your bath stuff – and give us a sippable bath beverage! 🙂 Whaddya think, lol?
