Y’all….I am so excited to share this with you today. I am so proud to show you how this all turned out! So, a little back story. I recently attended Arkansas Women Bloggers Conference in Hot Springs, AR. At one point during the conference, I was chatting with Keisha (Big Pitt Stop) about food and places to eat. She happened to mention this place in Little Rock that serves up a Biscuit Bar for Brunch on the weekends. And at that exact moment, a light bulb turned on in my head and I knew that I wanted to create a DIY version of this idea! And so my DIY Biscuit and Scone Bar was born.
This DIY Biscuit and Scone Bar would be perfect for a tailgate brunch, bridal shower brunch and/or baby shower brunch. I can just picture this in so many unique settings and for so many fun celebrations!
In staging my DIY Biscuit and Scone Bar, I knew I wanted to keep the decor shabby chic and very southern. I wanted my palette to be very neutral and clean looking. I used metal pieces in the ice bins and wooden pieces to elevate the biscuits and scones. I also wanted to bring in a feminine vibe so I utilized some floral china as well. Co-owning a Vintage Prop Rental business (Vintage Sparkle Rentals), I had our entire inventory at my finger tips and staging this party had me like a kid in a candy store!!
I set both of my tables with lace tablecloths and laid a woven natural fiber runner down the main table, on top of the lace tablecloth. On the drink table, I elevated the drink dispensers with vintage coke boxes and incorporated mason jars for guests to use for their drinks. I offered tea service using vintage china and cute spoons to stir in cream and sugar. For the beverages, I served up Mimosas and Bloody Marys. I also offered water for those that didn’t want alcohol or tea.
On the main table, I elevated the biscuits and scones using a variety of wooden and metal elements. Wooden chargers, wooden cake stands, metal cake stands, china and neutral plates. I used a vintage dresser drawer to elevate one of the galvanized ice buckets which had all of the biscuit and scone bar condiments on ice. I flipped over a galvanized ice bucket for extra height on the table and added the condiments that didn’t need to be iced. Cute cocktail spoons were available for each condiment as well as little paper cupcake liner cups for guests to use for each condiment they were interested in taste testing with their biscuits and scones. I flanked both tables with vintage doors which elevated the entire look of the DIY Biscuit and Scone Bar.
For the scones, I offered a multitude of flavors for the guests. All from Sticky Fingers brand, they guests were treated to Vanilla Chai, Blueberry, Gluten Free Blueberry, Strawberry, Vanilla Cinn-Raisin and Original.
For the biscuits, I offered Cheddar Herb and Honey Orange. Both of those options are from Sticky Fingers. I also made some homemade biscuits for the guests. As condiments and food pairings, I offered the following options:
Ham, Lowensenf Extra Hot Mustard, Lyle’s Golden Syrup, Mackays Orange Marmalade with Champagne, Mackays Blueberry and Black Currant Preserve, Gaucho Ranch Dulce de Leche, Mackays Blackberry Preserves, WM Fruit Spread Sampler Pack, Cocoa and Coconut Almond Barney Butter, Duerrs Ginger Preserves, Breitsamer Golden Honey, Mackays Lemon Curd, Biscoff Spread, WM Blood Orange Jam and Breitsamer Rapsflower Blossom Honey.
To distinguish between the different flavors of scones and biscuits, I created chalkboard flags using paper straws. I just anchored the straws (cut in about half) into the biscuits. I used chalkboard vinyl for the flags.

Lovely party ideas! I would never have thought to combine the more rustic wooden and metal pieces with the more dainty teas set and lace but it works. You’ve got some really unique serving pieces too.
I am co-hosting the #HomeMattersParty link party this month and would love to have you stop by for a visit.
