Happy National Vodka Day! In celebration of this very important occasion, I thought I’d share one of the very first drinks I ever had as a legal drinking person way back in the day. I can remember ordering this at a Chilis restaurant more than a decade ago and it’s probably one of my all time favorite lemon-y flavored cocktails. The Chilis version is frozen. I’m going over ice, my friends, because I prefer my cocktails over ice. My version also incorporates SMIRNOFF® Sours Berry Lemon plus some fresh squeezed Lemon Juice.
Ingredients
1.5 oz SMIRNOFF® Sours Berry Lemon
0.5 oz Blue Curacao
2.0 oz Sweet & Sour Mix
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 can of Lemon-Lime Soda
Ice
Lemon Wedges for garnish
Directions
Place the Vodka, Blue Curacao, Sweet & Sour Mix and Lemon Juice in a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake till combined and chilled. Fill a high ball glass with ice (or your favorite mason jar). Pour cocktail shaker ingredients over ice and top with lemon-lime soda. Garnish with a lemon wedge. Cheers!

The house didn’t cool down much below 75 last night with all of the windows open and fans blowing, I could definitely use one of these right about now to combat the heat. Thanks for sharing on Creative K Kids’ Tasty Tuesdays link up. Hope to see you back next week.
