Lately, I’ve been all about the DIY Hair Masks. I’ve used this DIY Split End Treatment once/week since I posted about it. And I’m excited to add this DIY Hair Mask into my hair-care routine. Because it’s nearly summer-time, strawberries are in abundance. So, this is definitely a hair mask that can be easily added into rotation. What I love about this hair mask is that it’s perfect for dry hair. Strawberries have so much moisture in them. Use this mask to whip your dry hair back into shape!
Ingredients
1 cup Strawberries, pureed
1 Egg Yolk
3 Tbsp. Olive Oil
Directions
Puree the strawberries in a blender. Add in the egg yolk and olive and mix to combine. Work into your hair, cover with a plastic shower cap or plastic bag or plastic wrap. Leave in for 20-30 minutes. Rinse out with cool water. Use your favorite conditioner directly after rinsing and leave in for 5 minutes. Rinse the conditioner out and then shampoo/condition your hair.
NOTE: I recommend that you use this hair mask when you have time to spend on your hair. ie…rinsing out the strawberry mixture. If it’s well pureed, it might not take as long, but remember this is a fruit that can have a weird texture when pureed. And it’s super sticky. While it’s super good for your hair, it might take a few rinses to fully remove.
Enjoy!!

I have never heard of a strawberry hair mask! Definitely sounds like more time-consuming than my usual routine – but interesting!! And, it might be a great way to use up all the strawberries in my garden that my visiting bunny has nibbled on! I’m visiting from the #FoodieFriDIY linkup.

Stop hair breakage says
Thanks for sharing, that’s so cute. Do you think it is suitable for hair breakage and split ends? It’s something I get asked quite often from my own blog’s readers, and I would love to know what you might think of it.
