Sometimes I like to make new traditions with my family. And sometimes that means changing up the norm of different holidays. For Thanksgiving that means serving something other than the traditional turkey. I’ve smoked Cornish Game Hens and made Prime Rib to name a few. I’ve rounded up some yummy non-traditional Thanksgiving Main Dishes for you in case you’re ready to try something new. ๐

So many of these sound tasty. This year we are doing a chicken. And, last Christmas we had filet mignon instead of turkey! And, everybody was happy!
Great list of creative Thanksgiving recipes! My family is pretty traditional. I like to experiment more with the desserts.
I had to laugh at this, because our traditional Thanksgiving dinner is not actually traditional in the broad sense…we have always done a ham on Thanksgiving! LOL!
Love, love, love this! Pinned. ๐
I don’t like traditional Thanksgiving food so I’m glad to see different options. thanks
What a fun list of options for the non-traditional Thanksgiving. I don’t make turkey enough through the year, so we are def having turkey this week. ๐
I hate turkey and greens so you are talking my language right here.
I love having turkey for Thanksgiving but love doing non-traditional sides.
We are having a non traditional Thanksgiving. Due to my work schedule we will have to celebrate on Saturday. All the kids will be making their favorite dishes. Just thought it would be fun to celebrate my family and their favorites. Great recipes.
Some of these recipes sound super yummy! This year, my parents and I are doing a non-traditional meal for Thanksgiving = LOBSTER! I cannot wait!!!

Ohh, Chicken Cordon Bleu would work for me! I have to admit though – I love the traditional Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing!
It’s like this post was written especially for me!! Hate turkey, love these ideas!!!
I have certain musts but I’m pretty flexible, truth be told.
Yum. These sound amazing. Thanks for including mine!
There are great ideas here for people who don’t like or are sick of turkey. This was a really good post.
Our dinners are kind of traditional but kind of random. I will NEVER forget going to a friend’s house my first year in college and seeing the squirrels in the sink. We didn’t eat it but will never forget it!
I don’t think Thanksgiving would feel complete for me without turkey but some of these recipes look amazing! I would love to try them on another day! Of course if someone made one of these and offered them to me this week, I don’t think I would turn them down!
I am in shock as to how many delicious recipes you are offering here. For example, you had me at ‘pumpkin sage lasagna cups’:) Wow. Thank you.
YUM! The lamb actually sounds so delicious!
Not sure I could go non-traditional for Thanksgiving! But I would definitely use those recipes after Thanksgiving in lieu of leftovers ๐
The onion mustard stuffed chicken sounds SO weird but also so good!! I want to try it!
